02   RACK U ASSET BAR

Rack U Asset Monitor Bar WH-RU2000-LMT

Designed for managing IT equipment and U-space inside racks, it delivers U-level positioning, automatic inventory and remote indication, and supports rack micro-environment monitoring (temperature, humidity, door open/close).

  • 8 mm face width: fits 99% of rack structures, occupies no U positions and requires no rack modification.
  • Height options 42U~54U: overall flatness tolerance below two parts per thousand.
  • Identification: Unique ID plus RFID dual-frequency tags — identity and location determined together.
  • Interaction: U-position indication with a silicone feedback button, supporting on-site acknowledgement and SLA records; indicator colours and combinations can be configured to carry operational meaning (7 colours configured at factory).
  • U-position temperature sensing: built-in sensing on the U positions within the bar, 7 points as standard and up to 42, outputting the temperature distribution along the height of the rack.
  • Power and expansion: PoE powered, 4 W per bar; reserved interfaces for temperature/humidity, door open/close sensors and a rack information display.
03   RU2000 · SYSTEM COMPOSITION

System Composition

One Asset Monitor Bar, one master control box and one electronic tag per server form the minimal U-level sensing system.

Asset Monitor Bar (controller antenna)
01

ASSET MONITOR BAR

Asset Monitor Bar (controller antenna)

Mounted on the right-hand side inside the cabinet, it reads the U-position electronic tag on each device by contact in real time, achieving real-time asset positioning. The U controller antenna has built-in temperature sensors (7 as standard, with a full 42 U-position temperature configuration available as an option), monitoring the temperature at the top, middle and bottom of the cabinet in real time.

U Master Control Box
02

MASTER CONTROLLER

U Master Control Box

Handles data reception and transmission, power supply and control commands. It offers multiple communication interfaces and an expandable programming interface for flexible networking, and supports external sensors (temperature, humidity, door open/close) and cabinet information displays.

U-Position Electronic Tag
03

U-TAG

U-Position Electronic Tag

Affixed to the top surface of the server. Once attached, its front shows the customer logo, the server ID and a QR code, while the other side attaches magnetically to the Asset Monitor Bar antenna.

04   RU2000 · CAPABILITIES

Product Capabilities

Four capability groups covering assets, security, micro-environment and expansion.

01

ASSET MANAGEMENT

Asset Management

  • Automatic real-time positioning of the location and identity of in-rack IT assets.
  • Automatic detection and automatic position update when IT assets are relocated.
  • Accurate, second-level inventory.
02

PHYSICAL SECURITY

Physical Security Monitoring

  • Anti-theft and alarming for IT assets inside the cabinet;
  • Monitoring of IT asset position changes, with alarms for unauthorised changes;
  • User-defined colours and combinations of the U-position guide lights to carry operational meaning.
03

MICRO-ENVIRONMENT

Micro-Environment Monitoring

  • A built-in temperature sensing unit in the antenna provides real-time automatic temperature awareness and monitoring.
  • Humidity sensing can be added through the base station external interface.
04

EXPANSION

Extendable to door open/close sensors

  • Cabinet information displays can be added through the base station reserved interface.
  • Door open/close sensors and similar devices can be added through the base station reserved interface.
05   3D DIGITAL TWIN

3D Digital Twin · HorizonView

Spatial presentation of assets, capacity and thermal field: real-time rack views and per-server views; thermal maps of 7 and up to 42 temperature points per rack with hot- and cold-spot alarms; real-time capacity views and capacity analysis; KPI and resource data dashboard.

An IoT data centre automatic patrol inspection system for a tobacco company — the system realised real-time scenes and objects, with timed automatic patrol and exception alarms; it also realised remote visits, remote operation-and-maintenance authorisation and other functions.

A telecom operator digital 3D data centre system — accurate to 7 temperature sensors per rack, presenting the digital twin visually; real-time display of all asset equipment in the computer room; display of the temperature field with real-time hot- and cold-spot alarms; the real-time space capacity status is clear at a glance, which increased the efficiency of new installations by 10 times.

  1. Real-time cabinet views, accurate down to each individual server;
  2. Real-time temperature maps of 7 and up to 42 temperature points in each cabinet;
  3. Real-time capacity views and capacity analysis;
  4. Visualization of KPI and asset resource data, Dashboard.
06   VR GUIDED INSPECTION

VR Guided Inspection System

VR guided inspection

Embedding inspection and O&M procedures in augmented reality: an immersive working environment, spatially presented information, standardised inspection routes, and support for remote visits and remote O&M authorisation.

1. A completely new user interface and experience, with standardised visual operating guidance:

  • 【Immersive virtual working environment】 — The engineer’s working interface changes from a flat UI on a rectangular screen into an immersive 3D space in AR with a sense of space, orientation and reality, presenting multi-dimensional information from the physical environment as a panorama;
  • 【An entirely new user experience】 — Breaking the limits of flat information and screen size, it changes the way engineers obtain information, and enables display of complex information structures that a screen window cannot achieve at all; the way engineers interact with information is upgraded from “a reality you can see” to “a reality you can touch and interact with in space”;
  • 【Standardised inspection and O&M operating guidance】 — Inspection work and basic O&M operating guidance are delivered in an augmented reality (AR) environment.

2. Innovative system functions and a disruptive way of working:

  • Automatic VR inspection: removes physical distance, enabling remote 3D display of servers, automated management of basic data, and query of basic rack asset information;
  • Real-time interaction between the virtual and the real: in-room arrow navigation, gesture recognition and gesture confirmation; handling O&M issues in the virtual world — standard workflows for confirming inspection tasks and processing alarms.
